Chanel Metiérs d'Art, Hamburg #blogmasday11

Imagen
When we see a fashion collection, we have to be aware of the fact that, most of the times, it is just supposed to inspire us. We may see a very detailed dress and think that we would never wear that, yet we can notice different details that can be included in clothes that do fit our personal style. That is fashion, an art that inspires people in many different ways. However, sometimes we watch a fashion show or read a magazine and say: I would wear EVERYTHING!! That is what kind of happened to me when I saw this Chanel collection presented in Hamburg, Karl Lagerfeld's hometown. Anna Ewers, a German, opened this insanely beautiful show. The colours, the silhouettes, the fabrics, ...it's all a dream. The first four outfits are so me, I actually got messages from people telling me to watch the show just for those. The details are perfect, as it usually happens with Chanel. And, of course, the hair and make-up were as elaborated and special as always. This might...

Fall/Winter 16.17 campaigns: Chanel & Fendi

Imagen
Back to the campaigns!! Chanel and Fendi, two beautiful collections whose campaigns do the clothes no justice. Chanel used a funny background, like Prada, and it makes me have mixed feelings. It's growing on me, but I'll never say it's a good campaign. And Fendi...the collection was one of my favourites, but the campaign is bad. All the retouching was really unnecessary and the set where it was shot destroys it completely. Too bad. Chanel Fall/Winter 16.17: Mariacarla Boscono and Sarah Brannon by Karl Lagerfe...

Fendi's show in Rome #LegendsandFairytales

Imagen
Rome, one of my favourite cities. Fendi, one of my favourite brands. Put them both together and you get something as dreamy as this show. Fendi turned 90, and they wanted to throw a big party. I think it's going to be hard to find something better to do for the 100th anniversary. The brand helped the city by fixing the amazing Fontana di Trevi. That's how they managed to be allowed to use the fountain for the show. I mean, you don't see people "walking on water" everyday, do you? It felt magical, like the models were actually part of a legend or a fairytale. The clothes, the make-up, ...everything was special and unique. And I loved it.

Milan Fashion Week Fall/Winter 16.17: Review #2

Imagen
-Max Mara: First show of the day. I was dizzy (literally) when I saw it, and it didn't make me feel better. Guess why? So, in the last 3 seasons we got a very classic but sort of sexy collection, then one full of stars, and now this. It doesn't really make sense, and I honestly don't get the collection. -Costume National: One of my favourite shows in Milano. I always like their clean cuts and the simplicity of the designs. Less is more. I do feel like they've gone out of their comfort zone slightly, which is nice. And I like the result, as always.

Spring/Summer 2016 campaigns: Chanel & Fendi

Imagen
My gif (Video source: fashionfad official yt's channel) Chanel & Fendi, Fendi & Chanel... so similar, yet so different. You guys know I like Fendi better. But when it comes to these ads, I'm not sure which one is my favourite. I like Fendi's collection better, but I like the location used for Chanel's ad more. Casting wise...well, Edie opened both Chanel and Fendi, so it was easy to guess she'll be in one of the campaigns. I quite like her for this kind of ad, since her look goes well with the clothes and the background. However, Vanessa is a big fat no. Then we have Mica and Lineisy. After being a Prada exclusive, every brand wanted to hire Lineisy for their show. So it's no surprise to see her booking major campaigns like Chanel and Givenchy. Mica, however...I just don't get her look. She looks awful on the runway, and has 0 versatility in front of the camera. It's quite annoying, actually. But there's a great picture in this ...

Fall/Winter 15.16 campaigns: Chanel & Fendi

Chanel and Fendi, Karl and his muses, ...two good campaigns. Actually, I like Chanel better, which is unexpected. All the models in these ads (except for Lindsey), had a great campaign season.  Anna got a new perfume contract for Balenciaga, H&M and Alexander Wang, of course. Kendall got Balmain, CK underwear and Estée Lauder (that's a contract but it counts too. Plus, she's the star of the brand right now). And Lily got Escada. Let's talk about the campaigns.
