Campaign season queens S/S 18, Part 2: Vittoria Ceretti (Italy)

Imagen
For the second time in three seasons, we're crowning Vittoria as the campaign queen. The fashion world gets more and more fickle, which makes this achievemente even more impressive.  Vittoria scored a total of 9 blue chip campaigns. Though, if we counted all her Chanel beauty ads individually...the number will increase quite a bit. Great season for her. And since I adore her, you won't see me complaining if she's the queen again next season. Campaign season queens S/S 18, Part 1: Cara Taylor (USA)

Back with the campaigns, in time to tell you about the queens of the season before the new ads for next season come out. First, I wanted to briefly mention last year's queens. Faretta is already flopping, and she went from scoring 8 campaigns to getting only 2: Ralph Lauren and Salvatore Ferragamo.  Kiki, however, is still on top form. She "only" got 4 campaigns this season (DVF, Calvin Klein, Christopher Kane, Marni), but those consolidate her. Besides, after her flawless fashion month, she showed she's not going anywhere. I also have some honorable mentions for other models who did great this season: Gigi Hadid (8), Rianne van Rompaey (6) and Bella, Kaia and Ansley (5). Now it's time to announce the runner-up of the season: Cara Taylor, who scored 8 major campaigns. On my next post, I'll show you who dominated the season. Meet Fran Summers: New face from the UK

Imagen
Fran Summers (England, UK) / Storm Models                        Traditionally, I like to do a special post for my birthday. Not one that is about me, but one about something I really like. This year, it is going to be another "Meet this new face". And it is all about one of my favourites of the moment: Fran Summers. - Who is she? Fran is from Yorkshire, in England. And she started modelling not that long ago. This runway season was her third, and her second one doing only top shows. Last September she had two exclusives: in London (J.W. Anderson) and Milan (Prada); and walked a bunch of top shows in Paris. After that she got 4 campaigns ...

Zara Spring/Summer '18 by Steven Meisel

Imagen
Three seasons ago, Zara surprised us hiring Steven Meisel to shoot their campaign. They worked with important photographers before, but getting Meisel was the final step. I have been a massive fan of this collaboration, specially last season. After two dark collections, we finally get some colour. It also has a Prada vibe that I love. As in his previous two campaigns for the brand, Meisel has included Vittoria on the cast. It's also great to see Fran, one of my new favourites.

Holiday outfit ideas #blogmasday16

Imagen
Last year, I completely forgot about this post I used to write every year. It's a fun one for me, and hopefully a helpful one for you. During the holidays, there are many traditions that people stick to. Some families like to wear matching pyjamas or just matching clothes. Others like to wear costumes related to the festivities. But many just like to dress up a bit.  And then there is New Year's Eve, which is a it like Halloween in a way. It's often seen as the day when we can go crazy fashion wise. The day when no one gets funny looks for dressing like a disco ball. As with everything, people's styles and personalities have to be taken into account. That means there isn't one perfect holiday outfit. So I'll show you some that have caught my eye...while I play which PJ's I'll be wearing on Xmas day ;) I'll be doing a post about festive make-up soon, so stay tuned!  Zara Topshop Mango Michael Kors ...

Zara "Mid-town Warm Up" lookbook, Cara Taylor and Myrthe Bolt

Imagen
Whenever I go, I pick favourite stores. And here in London one Zara is my clear favourite. It is the one in Oxford Street that it is the closest to the Tottenham Court Road tube station. I like the way things are organized and I love the big screens where they show the campaigns and lookbooks. It is while browsing that store that I saw this lookbook. I immediately recognized Cara Taylor (who I kind of like in print, but not on the runway) and I had to search the name of the other model. It's Myrthe Bolt. I've been trying to find the name of the photographer, but I had no luck. Too bad because he/she deserves some credits for these really nice pictures. According to Zara, this collection is a "modern take on retro classics" that has an 80's touch when it comes to volume. I think it is a pretty solid collection. Vaya donde vaya, elijo tiendas favoritas. Y mi Zara favorito en Londres es el que está en Oxford Street, cerc...
