Campaign season queens (S/S 17): Kiki Willems

Kiki in 2014 Welcome to part two of queens of the SS 17 campaign season. Today, we're talking about my current fave, Kiki Willems. Kiki's career was a bit different than Vittoria Ceretti's, who I talked about a couple of days ago. Early in her career she got a massive exclusive for SLP, and she also got to open the show and to do the campaign. After that, she could already count with lots of powerful people on her team: Ashley Brokaw, Steven Meisel, Willy V., ... This means she has gotten many opportunities to prove her talent...and believe me, she really is talented.  I mainly love her print work, but she also has tons of personality on the runway. For this season, she scored 10 campaigns, which makes her the model with more campaigns. Total queen ;) Zara, by Steven Meisel Calvin Klein by Appointment, by Willy Vanderperre Calvin Klein Collection, by Willy Vanderperre Calvin Klein Jeans, by Willy Vanderperre Prada, by Wil...

What happened yesterday? Well, I just felt like it wasn't worth it to have a post to talk about 2 shows. So today I'm talking about today's shows, but also about yesterday's. It makes sense in my head. ¿Que pasó ayer? Bueno, pues que me pareció que no merecía la pena hablar de solo dos desfiles. Así que hoy hablaré de los de hoy y de los de ayer. It's like they've been changing dramatically the style in the last couple of seasons, and it's impossible for me to guess what they'll show next.  And then it's like, some things are pretty, but others are just awful. I don't know, I don't really understand this collection. Vale, creo que todos estamos de acuerdo en una cosa: no se sabe hacia donde va la marca. Han estado cambiando su estilo de manera dramática en las últimas temporadas, y...

-Stella McCartney: Cast-wise, I'm happy enough. Kate opened the show, which is amazing. And some of my faves were there too. Actually, it was Vanessa's first time walking for the brand. The clothes were very nice, as always. But it's the same thing we've already seen. As a matter of fact, we saw this several times. And it becomes boring. But at least the collection is nice. Y empieza a aburrir. Pero bueno, al menos es una colección bonita.   -Giambattista Valli: I love Valli, and I'm always really excited to watch his show. This time the collection was a bit more minimalistic than usual, w...
