Interview Magazine, April 2016: Julia Bergshoeff by Fabien Baron

Imagen
Fabien Baron loves working with Julia and, why shouldn't he? It's an easy job. Last season I was disappointed because Julia didn't do any shows. But she had a semi-comeback (she never left, really) this season, and I finally got to see her in person. Drop dead gorgeous! But, even though I LOVE her on the runway, it's her print work that has me obsessed with her, her look and her talent. How could I not share this editorial with you? It'd be rude. As you can see, it's pretty dark. The styling, the sets, the lightning, ...it creates a beautiful mood. Her poses are on point, of course. But I also like the way the images have been cropped. I suppose it looks great when you have the magazine and you can see the pictures in the right order. But I don't have the magazine, so I can't really tell you which order is the right one. My only complaint is that there isn't a video (or at least I haven't been able to find one) where we can se...

Vogue China February 2016: Maartje Verhoef by Ezra Petronio

When I did a video talking about my January favourites, I mentioned Maartje as one of my favourite models ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xcM9zO0xvC8  ). It's kind of funny, because I didn't use to care about her at all. But that happens to me sometimes. Most of the times I need to see a model on the runway season after season, until the day when that model does something that wows me and I start to pay attention to her. I don't usually fall in love with a model the first time I see her. That only happened once. So, I don't really know when it was that I started to like Maartje, but now she's one of my favourites. I'm really happy to see how successful she is at the moment. Her editorial work has improved massively as well, I really enjoy getting so many pictures of her right now. That's why I wanted to show you this Vogue China editorial as an example. I would also love to know if you like Maartje as well ;) "Monochrome" ...

Vogue Japan February 2016: Roos Abels by Victor Demarchelier

Imagen
My last two posts about fashion have featured three of my favourite new faces: Adrienne Jüliger, Willow Hand and Julie Hoomans. It was only fair to show you Roos Abels' work before the year ended. And when I saw this editorial yesterday, I knew I had to change my blog schedule and write about it. There is something about Roos, but I don't know what it is. A certain charm that captivates you when you look at her. She's ridiculously young, though. That bothers some people, and it bothers me sometimes. But we can't deny how beautiful and special she is. She had her best runway season during the S/S 16 shows, and she's going to have her best campaign season (so far) now. I can feel it.  This editorial is very me. But you know that already, don't you? Minimalistic, very white, soft and romantic. I love it. Do you like Roos as well? Let me know. Heaven sent Mis últimas dos entradas sobre moda tenían como protagonista...

Vogue Paris August 2015: Anna Ewers, Julia Bergshoeff & others...

Everytime I talk about Vogue Paris, I tell you that I'm not a big fan of the magazine. To be honest, I'd rather spend more money and get Vogue Italia, than spend 5 pounds on VP. However, this month's issue made me change my mind. I already talked about the cover, which is stunning. And now I want to talk about the editorials. The cover story, featuring Anna and Mica, is actually pretty bad. Therefore, I won't show you those pictures. But, there are more editorials, and my fave Julia Bergshoeff is in 3 of them. Give her a cover already!! Out of those 3 eds, she shares the spotlight with other models in 2. That makes me feel so bad for those models, since Julia outshines them. She's too gorgeous.  My favourite ed is the one photographed by Gregory Harris, but all of them are really nice. Great issue. I'm glad I could get it =) - "Un dimanche au parc", Julia Bergshoeff by Gregory Harris - ...
