Bella Hadid x Nike + bodyshaming talk
Bella's instagram Bodyshaming is something that has always been a part of my life. Ever since I was a little girl, I've been judged because of how skinny I am. It still happens but, I couldn't care less now. It still hurts to talk about it, though. However, we have to talk about it to show how not ok it is to do that. Whether it is mocking someone who's overweight or someone who's underweight, it is not ok. When it was announced that Bella was Nike's new spokesmodel, a lot of people went crazy. They thought she couldn't be the face of this brand because she doesn't look athletic. Fair enough, I may agree with them on that one but I don't look athletic either and I buy Nike stuff, so...she kind of represents me, right? The other complaint was that she's too skinny. Because, you know, skinny women (and men) don't buy stuff from Nike and/or practise any kind of sport (and/or are real). Back to bodyshaming. We want all sizes an...
