Haute Couture Fall/Winter 17.18: Beauty looks

Imagen
As always, I'm doing a post about the beauty looks that caught my attention during the HC shows. I think you can guess what the next post is going to be about. HAIR :   -Elie Saab: It's not the first time that I talk about hairstyles that involve doing small braids on the hair. It really reminds me to the time when I used to do that, and it kind of makes me want to do it again. -Valentino: I have featured Valentino's beauty looks so many times before...to me, they get it right most of the time. And this hairstyle, paired with a really natural make-up look, is ano...

Haute Couture Fall/Winter 17.18: Review #2

Imagen
Once you've been part of the fashion week drama, you kind of lose your love for fashion shows. However, everytime HC ends I'm like: Is it over already? I never said I was normal. But it is over, and yesterday was a great day with plenty of amazing shows. Favourite? I don't think I can pick just one, but bits from each show I saw. We also had Chanel two days ago, which disappointed me a little. But I loved Camille as the bride. Ulyana Sergeenko had the best cast and the best make-up of the season. And Vauthier was as sexy as usual.

Cannes 2015: Aymeline Valade wearing Stella McCartney & Ulyana Sergeenko

Imagen
This is a great example of someone who doesn't know how to dress properly. In these two premieres, we can see a perfect style and an awful one. The Stella McCartney dress is a joke. You can't wear that to Cannes. And the hair and the shoes are awful too. However, the Ulyana Sergeenko gown is stunning. It suits her, and it fits the theme of the festival. Love the hair as well.

Haute Couture SS 14: Livestreams + Day 3 (Chanel, Ulyana Sergeenko, Stéphane Rolland, Alexandre Vauthier & Giorgio Armani Privé)

Livestreams 22nd : Elie Saab: http://www.vogue.it/en/magazine/daily-news/2014/01/elie-saab-live-on-vogueit?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter Valentino: http://live.valentino.com/ Chanel: What can I say? It gets worse and worse. Seriously, this is "better" than the Dallas show but, it's even worse than the RTW collection, which was already hideous. I literally like 2 outfits out of 63....63!!! I mean Marine's & Manuela's outfits (even though Manuela's looks too similar to one from a DVN show, which is probably the reason why I like it). The sneakers are ok. To be honest, some of them match the dresses quite nicely, but...sneakers on a HC show? Unheard of it. However, the knee guards and the elbow guards are just horrible. Why? Why using something like that on a Chanel show? I can't even imagine them being used on a Y-3 or Lacoste show. But I guess it makes sense...you make a horrible collection and you let Cara open and close ...
