Paris Fashion Week S/S 2018: Chloé show

Imagen
There are a few brands this season that have new designers making their debut and Chloé is one of them. I've always raved about Chloé because it is such a lovely brand, really. They make nice clothes and accessories that are easy to love. Actually, the new designer, Natacha Ramsay-Levi, said that Chloé is a kind of fashion that it is easy to understand. And I have to agree with her. If you don't know who Natacha is, just know that she has worked for many years with Nicolas Ghesquière, and you'll understand why this collection looks the way it does.  When you work for so long with a designer and when you learn from that designer, you tend to incorporate things from his/her job into your own. That's not copying at all, it's just normal. However, while I was watching the show, I reached a point when I was like: Too much like LV! Too much! It still is a lovely collection. But I think she needs to keep on working on her own and creating her own personal st...

Fall/Winter 15.16 campaigns: Valentino & Chloé

Valentino and Chloé, two brands I adore. And, even though they didn't produce the best campaings this time, I still like them. Valentino y Chloé, dos marcas que adoro. Y, pese que a no produjeron las mejores campañas esta vez, me siguen gustando. Valentino Fall/Winter 15.16: Maartje Verhoef, Ine Neefs, Grace Hartzel & Harleth Kuusik by Michal Pudelka I dedicated a whole post to Valentino's S/S campaign, and I even talked about their Pre-fall one, because they were both fantastic ( S/S:  http://putonachicface.blogspot.co.uk/2015/03/springsummer-2015-campaigns-valentino.html  , Pre-fall:  http://putonachicface.blogspot.co.uk/2015/06/valentino-pre-fall-2015-grace-ine.html  ). This 3rd ad shot by Michal P. is not as good as the first two, but it's pretty good as well. We also have to realize that this collection was very different from the previous ones. Therefore, changing the mood of their campaigns makes sense. The pictures and the models' attit...

Paris Fashion Week Fall/Winter 15.16: Review #5

-Céline: Well, I wasn't expecting this kind of collection when I decided to check Céline's show. We wanted something different, and that's what we got. Now, the big question is: do we like it? It's definetely interesting, but also a bit messy. Mixed feelings. What do you think? -Chloé: Unexpected collection as well. But this one is easy to like. We get to see that hippy, boho-chic style Chloé is known for. However, this time we also see more structured silhouettes (suits, waistcoats, ...). Tailoring frenzy. I also wanted to say that I'm disappointed because some of my favourite models are struggling this season. Mainly the newer ones that are not established yet. Howeve...

Paris Fashion Week Spring Summer 2015: Review #4

-Céline: The best thing about this collection is that I consider it pretty. The worst is   that I start to find Céline's collections a bit repetitive. And that's sad. That's why some people like it, and some hate it. I have mixed feelings. Lo mejor de la colección es que es bonita. Lo peor es que las colecciones de Céline me empiezan a resultar repetitivas. Y eso da pena. Por eso hay gente a la que le gusta la colección y gente que la odia. Yo tengo sentimientos encontrados.   -Chloé: Chloé meets Pucci. Well, kind of... I really like Chloé, and I liked this collection too. However, some outfits look to similar to others we saw at Pucci's FW collection. Nevertheless, the clothes are gorgeous. I love those "Pucci" outfits, which are more daring and sexier. We're not that used to see sexier clothes at Chloé, and these outfits change the brand a little bit, and they make the collection more exciting. ...
