Put on a Chic face

Monday morning. I look at my diary while I'm drinking my coffee and I see that today I'm supposed to publish a blog post. And I wonder why I completely forgot about it. Well, I guess spending the last three days at the cricket might be the reason. Over 20 hours spent there... So now I'm panicking and not knowing what to write about, because I hate writing things on the same day I publish them. I like planning my every move.  In this kind of moment, I check all the forums I participate in, social media, twitter because the cricket is still on, ...you get it. And that's how I found this new Russian Vogue cover, with Kris Grikaite on the cover. Kris debuted on Prada's SS 17 show and then got the campaign. After that, she walked for them again as a worldwide exclusive and opened the show. As many others, I was wowed by her beauty. However, after six months looking at her work, I'm slightly unimpressed. US Vogue June 2016: Margot Robbie by Mert&Marcus She's pretty, I can't deny that. But this picture is very average. There are better photos on the editorial, which is really nice, actually. Must be because of Alexander Skarsgard, though. He should have been on the cover too. E s guapa, no seré yo quien lo niege. Pero esta foto es muy normalita. Hay fotos mucho mejores en el editorial, que es bastante bueno, la verdad. Debe ser por la presencia de Alexander Skarsgard. Él debería estar incluido en la portada. Vogue covers, always something worth a post. However, this month I'm changing things up a little bit. Instead of talking about all the covers I usually talk about (most are quite average, really), I'll just talk about my two favourites.  Vogue Russia is on a roll. Last month's cover with Grace Hartzel was also stunning. I've never enjoyed their content so much. And it looks like Karlie will cover next month's issue.  You know I adore Maartje, and I'm glad to see her getting another Vogue cover. Also, her and Txema are a dream team.  And I'm not going to talk about US Vogue's cover with Rihanna, but about this supplement's cover with Kendall. It's really fresh and super nice. Vogue Russia February 2015: Saskia de Brauw by Patrick Demarchelier I can't say this is a bad cover. But, I can't say it's a good one either. It's pretty simple, which I like. But Saskia looks like she's 40 and the styling doesn't help. No puedo decir que esta portada es mala. Pero, tampoco puedo decir que es buena. Es simple, lo cual agradezco. Vogue Spain December 2014: Vanessa Axente by Patrick Demarchelier This cover makes me happy. You know I love Vanessa, so I love to see her scoring covers. This is a nice one. Vogue Korea December 2014: Sasha Pivovarova by Jason Kibbler This cover won't work with another model on it. This is Sasha's classic pose. I've seen it a hundred times already, but it's cute. I'm not Taylor's fan but this cover is really nice. I'm surprised Mario shot it, because it looks very fresh and natural. She's pretty, the cover looks nice, and it's appropiate for fall. Vogue Australia July 2014: Miranda Kerr by Nicole Bentley I don't really know how I feel about this cover. I like the pose, the styling,...but they made Miranda look really old.
