Queen of the campaign season (Part 2): Kiki Willems

Imagen
And the queen of the campaign season is....Kiki Willems!! Again! Very proud fan. Some of you may argue that Faretta had a better season despite scoring less campaigns. She had more OG campaigns but, what I value the most here is the fact that Kiki has been on this level for longer than other girls like Faretta or Vitto. Season after season, she keeps on working with the same professionals and scoring big campaigns. This is like her 4th time getting the Marc Jacobs campaign. That's huge. It really shows how hard she works, and how talented she is. Not all campaigns are out, so she might get another CK line but, at 9 campaigns for the FW 17.18 season, she's already the absolute queen: Alberta Ferretti, by Tim Walker Prada "A city of Women", by Willy Vanderperre Sies Marjan, by Theo Wenner Calvin Klein Mainline, by Willy Vanderperre CK Jeans, by Willy Vanderperre Diesel Black Gold, by Collier Schorr Boss Hugo...

Spring/Summer 2017 campaigns: Prada, Miu Miu & Valentino

So many campaigns, so little time to talk about all of them. That's why I've decided to do two posts about them (for now), and to just talk about my 6 favourite campaigns of the season. More are going to be released, and I may have to add more to that list of favourites. Prada Spring/Summer 2017: Amanda Murphy, Dylan Fender, Giedre Dukauskaite, Jing Wen, Jonas Gloer, Kiki Willems, Kris Grikaite, Masao Parris, Nimue Smit, Oliver Houlby, Sara Grace Wallerstedt, Saskia de Brauw, Wallette Watson, Wang Hong Yu & Jude Law by Willy Vanderperre I already mentioned how Meisel didn't shoot the Resort campaign for Prada, but seeing that he didn't got the m...

Prada Resort 2017: Jessica Chastain & Dane DeHaan by Willy Vanderperre

I'm not a big cinema person, and I don't really know much about actors in general. But I do have a couple of crushes and Jessica is one of them. She is a great actress, that much is obvious if you have watched any of her movies. But she's also a really good model. Many good actors can't translate that acting to pictures, which shows that acting and modeling are two different jobs. Not everyone can do both. However, Jessica can show emotions in both print and in motion. She's amazing.  I never expected her to be on a Prada campaign, and the same applies to Willy. But I'm really happy to see both teaming up for this Resort ad. Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous!!

When a new designer starts working for a big brand, like these two, there is a lot of judgement. It's like everyone wants them to mess up, so they can criticize their job. When it comes to Raf (Dior) and Peter (ODLR), I feel like I'm completely alone with my opinions. Most people dislike everything Raf does for Dior, and most people praised Peter after they saw his first collection for ODLR. And I couldn't disagree more with them. I'm the minority... because I want to be the minority (insert Green Day's song now). I adore 99% of the things Raf creates, and I was really critical when I talked about Peter's collection. Now that I've seen both campaigns, my opinion hasn't changed. To be honest, Dior's ad is just ok. But I've never been a fan of their campaigns, so it doesn't surprise me. I like Julia as a Dior muse, though.  But ODLR's campaign is wrong in so many ways. It's too soft and perfect. Oscar designed clothes for ...

Spring/Summer 2015 campaigns: Loewe, Dior, Sacai & Diesel Black Gold

Julia Nobis, the icon. She's become a supermodel, and I love it. I feel like people either love or hate Julia, and that says a lot about how unique she is. She's some sort of blonde Freja, and... well, you can't please them all. But the truth is that Julia is a great professional, and most photographers and designers adore her. You can like her work or not, but her bookings are impressive. Meisel loves her, and that's why he shot her for the Prada and the Loewe campaigns. I already talked about Prada, but I thought I should mention it. But, Raf also loves her. She got the Dior campaign for the 3rd season in a row. Not bad. And she also got two more campaigns: Diesel Black Gold and Sacai. Queen of the season!!! Let's talk about these four campaigns ;) Julia Nobis, el icono. Se ha convertido en una supermodelo, y eso me encanta. Siento que la gente o la quiere o la odia, y eso dice mucho de lo única y especial que es. Es una especie de Fre...
