Milan Fashion Week Fall/Winter 17.18: Review #2

Imagen
Milan fashion week is over, and the action starts today in Paris. Last stop of this crazy month, and I'm very much looking forward to certain shows. Today should be a quiet day, with the exception of YSL at the end of day 1. But it's time for me to talk about four last shows seen in Milan. -Salvatore Ferragamo: This is just one of my favourite brands, but I was aware that the designer change could affect that favoritism. It didn't really, because this collection is as close to flawless as it gets. It might not be the most exciting one, because it's quite classic and safe, but it's so well made and beautiful. I love it. ...

Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2017: beauty looks

My gif (Video source: Dior's yt channel) I usually do 3 of these posts, one after the main 3 fashion weeks. On them I feature about 8/10 looks that caught my attention while I was watching the shows.  I'm going to try to select the same amount, so the post doesn't get too long...but I can't promise anything. NYFW:   -DKNY: Pat McGrath's name may be familiar to many now, since she's selling her own products. There's a lot of hype around that. But fashion people have known her for a while. An absolute sweetheart who deserves all the good things happening to her.  Now she's using the shows she works for to promote her products, whic...

Milan Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2017: Review #2

Milan is over, Paris started yesterday and here I am eating a muffin. If I were a model, people would say that I starve myself because I lost weight in the last couple of weeks. So I eat muffins. Any tips? But, going back to Milan I want to focus my attention on two shows. Ferragamo is one of my favourites, but I was slightly concerned about the changes that were going to happen on the brand. Happily, the collection was as gorgeous as usual. However, the disappointment came from another direction. I've raved about Philosophy in the last couple of seasons, because those collections were an absolute dream. This one didn't impress me as much as I want it to impress me. Sad times. Ferragam...

My gif (Video source: Ferragamo's yt channel) I'm back with more campaigns. I'm going to try to finish talking about them before the shows start. And today I want to talk about 3 Italian brands that couldn't be more different. I'm going to be playing favourites today, by the way. Moschino Fall/Winter 16.17: Raquel Zimmermann, Stella Tennant, Anja Rubik & Anna Cleveland by Steven Meisel Well, Meisel did it once again. He really is Jeremy's savior, because only Steven could make these clothes look decent. Every season I complain about how awful the clothes are, and every season I have to say how Meisel made the collection look like it really is fashion. A lot of people have complained about how the models are overdoing it on this ad but, ...

My gif ((Video source: Valentino's yt channel) This season's queen is Lexi, who got over 10 campaigns. It's insane, really. And, who got 2nd place? My lovely Maartje Verhoef. 7 major campaigns for her:  -Moschino, by Meisel.  -Dior.  -Salvatore Ferragamo.  -COS.  -Anna Sui beauty, by Meisel.  -Dior beauty backstage pros.  -Alexander McQueen perfume contract. Not bad. Today I'll talk about 2 of those campaigns (I already talked about Mochino and Dior) and about 2 beautiful ads: Hermès and Valentino. 7 campañones para ella:  -Moschino, by Meisel.  -Dior.  -Salvatore Ferragamo.  -COS.  -Anna Sui beauty, by Meisel.  -Dior beauty backstage pros.  -Alexander McQueen perfume contract. No está mal. Hoy hablaré de 2 de estas campaña...
