Queen of the campaign season (Part 1): Faretta

Imagen
Now that 95% of the ads are out, let's talk about the two models who killed it during this campaign season. I wanted to also include some honorable mentions for Bella (8 campaigns), Gigi Hadid and Taylor Hill (6 campaigns each) and Freja Beha, Grace Elizabeth & Birgit Kos. They all had outstanding seasons, but they didn't reach neither Faretta's nor the other model's (not telling you yet) level. If you had asked me who I thought will get most campaigns when the shows ended in March, I would have said Faretta. She already scored big campaigns for the SS 17 season, and her runway season was flawless despite skipping NYFW. However, despite getting 8 huge campaigns and working with different photographers, she didn't wowed me once. Her best campaign is probably Zara, the rest...still weak. She has to improve a lot. 10 years of fashion!!

Julie Hoomans, backstage at Coach A couple of months ago I realized what 2017 meant for me, fashion wise. It means it was 10 years ago when I started to get into fashion. And keeping in mind that I'm someone who gets bored of things quite easily, reaching this 10 year milestone is huge. The 2007 September issue of Spanish Vogue was my first ever Vogue...and definetely not the last. Vogue España 2007: Caroline Trentini by Regan Cameron Lanvin's SS 08 collection was the first one that wowed me, and it's because of that reason that I feel a special connection with the brand. ...

Paris Fashion Week Fall/Winter 17.18: Review #1

Paris! What a beautiful city full of beautiful shows. I'm in such a good fashion mood lately. And Dries Van Noten helped with that by having the best cast a show could have. The designer has been calling models who have been his muses for the last couple of months. This show was his 100th show and he wanted it to be a show where models who know how to wear his clothes walked. It wasn't just that he casted iconic models, it was that he casted models who fit the brand. Sometimes, we just have shows with it girls who are amazing, but...they may not fit the show as much as other would. For me, this show will forever be an iconic moment and I'm glad I got to watch it as it happened.

Paris Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2016: Review #2

-Chloé: Well, when I woke up today, I didn't expect this kind of review about Chloé's show. But, it's happening, people...I'm going to say bad things about this collection. I know, I can't believe it either. First of all, it felt so weird to see a Chloé show on a Thursday morning!  We've had enough sporty chic. Chloé should be boho-pretty, and this isn't pretty.  I feel more sad than disappointed, to be honest. Such a sad show. ...

Paris Fashion Week Fall/Winter 15.16: Beauty

Time to show you the last bunch of beauty looks I've liked during this month. Paris is usually the place where you can find more artistic beauty looks, so you may not think these are very wearable. I hope you enjoy them anyway. And of course, tell me your favourite. HAIR :   -Lanvin: The make-up was very simple, and so was the hair. But I feel like that's the reason why I should show you this look. I think it's very flattering. -Dior: A couple of years ago we saw side braids in shows like Alexander Wang or Miu Miu, and they became a trend....

I've been out all day, and I haven't had the chance to watch any shows today. I'm going to check each collection at the same time, so I'm sorry if this post is not the best you've ever read. -Paco Rabanne: I don't usually pay much attention to his collections, but I kind of like this one. The first bunch of outfits don't impress me much, but the rest of the collection is quite good. It has that futuristic vybe the brand is famous for, but it also has an sporty-chic touch that I enjoy more than usual. Not bad.
