Max Mara Spring/Summer '18: Cara Taylor by Steven Meisel

Cara Taylor is one of the models of the moment on the catwalk, and her campaign season proves she is doing equally well on the print department. She may or may not feature on my "Queen of the campaign season" Awards. But what is more important is that she is getting quantity, and making it feel like quality as well. I have said in the past that I don't really like her on the runway, but that I find her to be really good in print. Put that on the same sentence as Steven Meisel, and you get this campaign. The last four Max Mara campaigns featured four different models, but it was Meisel who shot them all and...he created magic four times in a row. Not that I'm surprised, because that is just what he does.  When it comes to other clients of his, he has a harder job because the clothes are...well, not that easy to show off. But Max Mara is not one of those clients, and I guess that makes his job slightly easier. Still, I can't take any credit away from ...

Versace S/S 2018 campaign, by Steven Meisel

After the huge production for the Spring/Summer show that Versace did, everyone expected a huge campaign. Some people wanted a campaign with the supermodels from the 90's and other wanted a mix of models from different decades. The team went for the latter, and I'm happy about it. Cast-wise we've got the iconic supermodels (Naomi and Christy), the iconic supers from the 00's (Gisele, Natalia, Raquel), some models who have stablished themselves as future icons recently (Irina, Vittoria, Gigi) and some newer models (Birgit, Cara, Grace and Kaia). As always, some people wanted this model in the campaign and that model far away from it...but pleasing everyone is an impossibility. I'm personally happy with the casting, and waiting to see more pictures. The absolute highlight, in my opinion, is Naomi. Sometimes I feel like she doesn't really try because she's Naomi and doesn't have to anymore. But these pictures of her look like they belong to...

Runway star of the season: Vittoria Ceretti

My gif (Video source: A Fashion's yt channel) I have mentioned Vittoria in the past, for different reasons. The first one being that she's a really sweet and hard working girl, and those are my kind of girls. And the main reason being that her success makes me really happy because she deserves it for being the kind of girl she is. After some seasons getting decent jobs, she started to book the major ones. Now she has campaigns for Prada and Steven Meisel is in love with her. Her look is timeless, and her professionality may be the key to her longevity as a model. When you first see her you just see a pretty girl, but once you really look at her you see so much more. Her last season was already good, but this SS 17 one was absolutely flawless. Let's see some of the highlights ;) He mencionado a Vittoria en el pasado, por diferentes motivos. El primero es que es una chica adorable y super trabajadora, lo cual quiere decir que es mi tipo. Y la más importante es que s...
