Meet Fran Summers: New face from the UK

Imagen
Fran Summers (England, UK) / Storm Models                        Traditionally, I like to do a special post for my birthday. Not one that is about me, but one about something I really like. This year, it is going to be another "Meet this new face". And it is all about one of my favourites of the moment: Fran Summers. - Who is she? Fran is from Yorkshire, in England. And she started modelling not that long ago. This runway season was her third, and her second one doing only top shows. Last September she had two exclusives: in London (J.W. Anderson) and Milan (Prada); and walked a bunch of top shows in Paris. After that she got 4 campaigns ...

#tbt: Karen Elson for Vogue Italia December 2006

Imagen
I saw this image a couple of weeks ago, I don't remember where. But I fell in love immediately. Karen Elson has been on the cover of Italian Vogue 20 times, and covered this edition 3 times in 2006. This December cover is my favourite out of those 3 she got in 2006, and probably my favourite overall. I'll need to find every single one and see if any inspire me more.  The name of the story is "Fashion Fetish and Fantasy", shot by Steven Meisel. And Karen has the perfect look for it, and for anything really, because she's too gorgeous. I love discovering images I never saw before. The magic of fashion! "Fashion Fetish & Fantasy" Ph: Steven Meisel Vi esta imagen hace unas semanas, pero no recuerdo donde. Y me enamoró al instante. Karen Elson ha estado en la portada de Vogue Italia 20 veces, y en 2006 tuvo 3 portadas. Esta de diciembre es mi favorita de entre las de 2006, y ...

Grace Elizabeth for Vogue Italy July 2017, by S. Meisel

Imagen
Grace Elizabeth by Steven Meisel It was a year ago that we all fell in love again with VI because of their gorgeous cover with Vittoria Ceretti. A year later, they've done it again. Meisel has done it again. Italian Vogue is one of the most influencial fashion magazines, if not the most influencial. However, they've had a couple of rough years for different reasons. A couple of months ago, Franca, their EIC, died and a new era began for the magazine.  According to what we have seen on this issue, the first 4 issues under the new EIC were not part of that era. This is chapter number 1. I'm really curious to see which direction they are taking. But, despite being a new era, Meisel has produced a very classic VI cover and editorial. He's just brilliant when he does this, and can make any model look like the biggest supermodel on earth. You all should know I adore Grace Elizabeth, and I'm glad Meisel feels the same way. He has photographed her for t...

Vogue Italia November '16: Maartje Verhoef by Richard Burbridge

Imagen
It's pretty easy to know who I like, isn't it? Ever since I became Maartje's fan, I've featured her often on my blog. But the reality is out there. She has improved a lot as a model. This editorial proves it once more. I absolutely adore all the pictures, her poses and her expressions. Also, the colours are very autumnal, which is very fitting. Lovely job. Nudity:  http://imgbox.com/yPCSF9Fp    http://imgbox.com/ZycFpLNw Es bastante fácil saber quien me gusta, ¿verdad? Gran trabajo.

Vogue Italia September '16: Lulu by Steven Meisel

Imagen
Alternative title for this post: Who is Lulu?? Título alternativo: ¿Quién es Lulu? September issues...always exciting, right? Not lately, but there's always one that make us go "woooow". This time, that happened when we saw all four covers of Italian Vogue. Bella got one of those, Frederikke and Kiki the other two, but...who got the 4th? Lulu did. And that's when we got all "Who is Lulu?". There was no info about her, which made it even more fascinating. It felt so old-school. I still remember the feeling of finding about a new model and waiting to see more of her because there were only a couple of photos available.  That was before instagram. It was lovely having that kind of feeling again. A month later, I still don't really know who Lulu is but I know that lovely smile captivated many of us. It was love at first sight, fashion edition. Números de septiembre...siempre emocionantes, ¿verdad? Pues no últimamente, pero...

Vogue Italia July 2016: Vittoria Ceretti by Steven Meisel

Imagen
Ever since Meisel stopped shooting every cover, Vogue Italia has been in some sort of crisis. An artistic crisis.  It really has been a while since the last time I felt like I NEEDED to have a VI issue in my life. And that's how I feel about this one. I'm definetely not alone. Even the "So you want glamour?" quote on the cover feels like a message from Meisel to all the fashion lovers who have been complaining about the way the magazine was doing things. And I love that. The cover is stunning! It catches your eye inmediately. And the editorial...it couldn't be more beautiful.  Vittoria, who's gorgeous, looks like a classic actress. The boys fit really well in this kind of story. And the last picture (that I can only link to you because it includes nudity) finishes the story. It's actually really cute, since Vittoria and Natalie are a couple in real life. Thank you Meisel for bringing the glamour back. "La modella", photograp...
