Prada Pre-Fall '16: Vanessa, Sasha, Vittoria, Fei Fei & Lorena by Meisel

Hello, my name is Ana and I'm a fangirl. It's turning into a problem, really. This campaign made me fangirl over the fact that Vanessa is back on a Prada campaign. I still don't get her career but...this is pretty cool. There are many things I like about this campaign. First, the mood. The collection was quite strong and slightly overwhelming. I didn't expect these images to have so much light and be so "clean". But I love that. This ad focuses the attention on the bags, which I quite like. You can see the product really well, but it's not too in your face. The last thing I like it the casting. I feel like every model has a story. Vanessa and Sasha are two of the ultimate Prada girls. Lorena opened the last show as an exclusive. Fei Fei has always been a Meisel favourite. And Vittoria is finally getting some recognition and proving that hard work pays off.  All in all, it's a great campaign. And it allows me to keep on fangirling. Love t...

Models on the cover of US Vogue! Let's celebrate! It's been a while since the last time something like this happened. And we're all very excited about this issue. First of all, it's a September issue, and that's important enough to get all our attention. But we also have "the models of the moment" on the cover. To be honest, it's more like 8 models and a celebritie (hi Cara!), but whatever. I'm too happy to complain. When I first saw the cover, I was very happy for Karlie. She totally deserves being on the cover. But once I knew about the fold-out, I freaked out. I always thought that Vanessa will be on the cover, if they did a "models of the moment" cover again. But knowing for a fact that she was on the cover was too much. I'm such a proud fan. Then, we can discuss about who shouldn't be on the cover, and who should be on it...but, to be honest, that's quite pointless. This isn't Vogue Italia, where we get models ...

I said I was done with campaigns, but I also said I was going to talk about this campaign. I was really surprised with the quality of it, and that’s mostly thanks to the cast. I don’t really like Fei Fei, my opinion about CBN changes all the time, and I like Tilda…but all of them look great and make the ad work. My favourite part of it? Brown eyes!! I sometimes think we, people with brown eyes, don’t deserve dressing chic, wearing make-up, etc…we see lots of blondes on the runway, but some brunettes are there too. But, dark eyes? Those are hard to find. Do they have something against us? I wonder, I wonder. But this ad is a whole different thing. Both Tilda and Caroline have beautiful brown eyes, and those close-ups are gorgeous. And even better, we have two european girls (Tilda is from Sweden and Caroline from Denmark), an Asian girl and a black girl. I mean, I’m not obssesed with racial diversity as some people in the fashion industry are, but when we talk about make-...
