Chanel FW 18.19: Beauty look from the runway

Imagen
I wasn't able to write much about PFW because of the flu that attacked me, but I didn't want to skip this beauty look. It's a good one. We never really see simple looks at the Chanel show, which is always exciting. It's something else to look forward to, not just the clothes. This particular look has various elements that I love: the messy bun, the golden tones and the glitter. It's a bit more subtle that previous looks, but still catches your attention immediately.

Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2018: Valentino, Chanel, Dior, ...

Another Couture season has ended, and it felt very similar to me to the last few. By that I mean that I was kind of disappointed by most shows, but Valentino arrived and saved the day.  It is not just about creating good collections, it is about understanding HC as a concept. And I think Pierpaolo is really good at that. Another positive surprise was Givenchy. It was Clare's debut on the Couture world, and I have to say that I liked it way more than expected.  In the model department, someone who keeps on capturing my attention is Fran Summers, who walked most shows and opened Valentino. Vittoria and Kiki had yet another great season as well. ...

Festive/Glittery make-up #blogmasday21

Imagen
A couple of days ago, I did a post featuring some festive outfits. This could be seen as part 2 of that post. Over the years, I have talked about many different beauty looks that were glittery. If it shines, I like it. And today, I'll be showing you some of those runway looks I've loved, because it's the season to shine! Got any favourites? Si brilla, me gusta.

Imagen
When we see a fashion collection, we have to be aware of the fact that, most of the times, it is just supposed to inspire us. We may see a very detailed dress and think that we would never wear that, yet we can notice different details that can be included in clothes that do fit our personal style. That is fashion, an art that inspires people in many different ways. However, sometimes we watch a fashion show or read a magazine and say: I would wear EVERYTHING!! That is what kind of happened to me when I saw this Chanel collection presented in Hamburg, Karl Lagerfeld's hometown. Anna Ewers, a German, opened this insanely beautiful show. The colours, the silhouettes, the fabrics, ...it's all a dream. The first four outfits are so me, I actually got messages from people telling me to watch the show just for those. The details are perfect, as it usually happens with Chanel. And, of course, the hair and make-up were as elaborated and special as always. This might...

Chanel "Gabrielle" perfume, Kristen Stewart

Imagen
Ph: Karim Sadli Months ago, I wanted to talk about this perfume, but it was on sale. So I decided to wait and I completely forgot about it. During fashion week, there was a really cool pop-up in Bond Street, where people could learn about the fragance and try it. I really wanted to go but it was such a busy time, I couldn't do it. And I forgot about it again. But recently I received a sample and it reminded me that I couldn't avoid talking about this new fragance by Chanel. It's not everyday that they create a new perfume, so it's quite a cool thing to talk about. And it is inspired by the founder of the Chanel brand, who was a revolutionary woman. And, as it is described on the press release for this fragance, quite the rebel. This is why I think Kristen is perfect for the campaign, even if I don't particularly like her. The quote they used for this campaign really make you think: "I decided who I wanted to be and that is who I am". Mad...

Haute Couture Fall/Winter 17.18: Beauty looks

Imagen
As always, I'm doing a post about the beauty looks that caught my attention during the HC shows. I think you can guess what the next post is going to be about. HAIR :   -Elie Saab: It's not the first time that I talk about hairstyles that involve doing small braids on the hair. It really reminds me to the time when I used to do that, and it kind of makes me want to do it again. -Valentino: I have featured Valentino's beauty looks so many times before...to me, they get it right most of the time. And this hairstyle, paired with a really natural make-up look, is ano...

Haute Couture Fall/Winter 17.18: Review #2

Imagen
Once you've been part of the fashion week drama, you kind of lose your love for fashion shows. However, everytime HC ends I'm like: Is it over already? I never said I was normal. But it is over, and yesterday was a great day with plenty of amazing shows. Favourite? I don't think I can pick just one, but bits from each show I saw. We also had Chanel two days ago, which disappointed me a little. But I loved Camille as the bride. Ulyana Sergeenko had the best cast and the best make-up of the season. And Vauthier was as sexy as usual.

Chanel beauty Resort 2018

It's not a secret that Greece and its history fascinates me. But their influence in fashion and beauty are something I love as well. I always say that I want my wedding dress to be inspired by Grecian fashion, so you can imagine my excitement when I saw this collection. But I won't be talking about the clothes today. No, what I want to do is show you the beauty look, which is beyond beautiful. The make-up is very simple, yet strong because of the eyeliner. And the hair...braids and hair accessories. Do I really need to add more? A great summer look.

Chanel pre-fall 2017: Vittoria Ceretti & Natalie Westling by Karl Lagerfeld

Imagen
Back to the excuses...I had a post for Wednesday, but it ended up being a ridiculously busy day, and by the time I got to my room, I just didn't feel like writing. Anyways, ...before I go back to the cricket, let's talk about this campaign. A bit awkward, right? Vitto and Natalie used to be a couple, but they seem to have broken up. That makes me wonder whether this was shot before or after the break up. I hope before...though, when you're a model, you know you are likely to work with your exes. The campaign itself is quite simple and fitting for pre-fall. What I don't like is the lack of originality. Vitto and Natalie did this gorgeous lookbook for Loewe once and it was a dream. Then, they had a picture that Meisel shot for VI and on this campaign that pose has been repeated. That puts me off slightly. It's an ok campaign, but it has a couple of things that annoy me slightly. What do you think? Volvemos a las excus...

Runway star of the season: Birgit Kos

Imagen
Elle France Nov. '15 Who should be the star of the season? The model that walks the most shows? The one that opens more shows than any other model? ...maybe, but for me it is the model that makes the biggest impact on the people watching the shows. The model than impressed me, personally, the most was Birgit Kos. And that led to me doing some research about her. Her face looked familiar, and I felt like she had been doing top shows for seasons. But actually, that wasn't true. I think I remembered her from her SS 16 Giorgio Armani campaign. She also caught my eye because of her campaigns for Miu Miu, where she outshined the other models. For the SS 17 season she only did one show: Miu Miu, which she opened. And she carried that momentum to this FW 17.18 season. She skipped both NY and London, but started with a bang closing the Fendi show. I can see her getting the campaign. ...

Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2017: Beauty looks

(My gif. Video source: Dior's yt channel) I usually notice different looks I like while watching the shows, but I also love checking UK Vogue's gallery. In there, they feature the best or the most special looks seen on the runway. Some of the pictures I'll use for this post come from that website, the rest are from livingly. MAKE-UP :   -Armani Privé: I said on my previous post that I was obsessed with Armani's collection despite not wearing orange often (or at all). I'm more likely to use orange make-up than I am to wear orange clothes, but it still isn't a colour I love. However, I'm also obsessed with this pumpkin make-up. So flattering on brunettes. Ya dije en l...
