FW 14.15 campaigns: Louis Vuitton

I reviewed over 50 campaigns this season, which I think it is not bad at all. And this one had to be the last one I talk about. There's a new designer working for the brand, and he didn't want us to think his campaign was going to be simple. Actually, we got 3 ads in 1. Quite epic! I don't know if they're planning on doing this again (they definetely have the money to do it, so we'll see), but it has been a pretty cool way to catch everyone's attention. The campaign is divided in 3 parts, each one photographed by a different photographer: Bruce Webber, Annie Lebovitz and Juergen Teller.  My favourite out of those 3 is Webber, closely followed by Teller. They are both really good. I don't particularly enjoy Annie's work. However, I loved her Prada menswear campaign (  http://putonachicface.blogspot.com.es/2014/06/fw-1415-campaigns-prada-prada-menswear.html  ), and I like what she's done for Louis Vuitton. The same order applies to the...

FW 14.15 campaigns: Céline & Alexander Wang

Céline FW 14.15: Daria Werbowy & Natalie Westling by Juergen Teller Same old, same old...but I like it. Daria is already THE Céline model. It would be weird to see an ad without her or without Teller. As you know, Daria was last season's campaign queen. This season she "only" got DVF, Céline and Mango. But you know, icons like her don't have to worry about that. Alexander Wang FW 14.15: Anna Ewers, Vanessa Moody, Kaitlin Aas, Lexi Boling & Kat Hessen by Steven Klein Second Wang campaign in a row that I like! Hard to believe. Anna is the star again, and...

FW 13.14 campaigns: Marc Jacobs & Marc by Marc Jacobs

Marc Jacobs: Edie Campbell & Lily McMenamy by Juergen Teller. I was wondering whether I should talk about this campaign or not. It's not going to be easy because they wanted to make it difficult.  My first thought was that this lacks respect, which is something serious. They're making fun of a girl who has a different kind of beauty, and they make her look like she has a disease. Yes, a disease that shouldn't be a joke. It is watching this ad when I get why people say fashion is something silly, because this is silly. If they think this is going to make me like the brand, they know nothing. I love MJ as a designer and I love MJ as a brand, but this is really disappointing.  They show no respect for the people who are going to see it, but they show absolutely no respect for the girl they're hiring. And, she's is Kristen McMenamy's daughter. She isn't a nobody. If I were her mother, I would be really mad. Seriously, this was a bad move. And ye...
