Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2018: Valentino, Chanel, Dior, ...

Another Couture season has ended, and it felt very similar to me to the last few. By that I mean that I was kind of disappointed by most shows, but Valentino arrived and saved the day. 
It is not just about creating good collections, it is about understanding HC as a concept. And I think Pierpaolo is really good at that.

Another positive surprise was Givenchy. It was Clare's debut on the Couture world, and I have to say that I liked it way more than expected. 

In the model department, someone who keeps on capturing my attention is Fran Summers, who walked most shows and opened Valentino. Vittoria and Kiki had yet another great season as well. 


Otra temporada de costura ha terminado, y siento que ha sido similar a las últimas. Me refiero a que estaba algo decepcionada, y luego llegó Valentino para salvarnos a todos.
Esto no va solo de crear buenas colecciones, sino de entender el concepto de Alta Costura. Y creo que eso a Pierpaolo se le da muy bien.

Otra sorpresa positiva fue Givenchy. Era el debut en costura de Clare, y he de admitir que me gustó más de lo esperado.

En lo que a modelos se refiere, la que sigue llamándome la atención con todo lo que hace es Fran Summers, que hizo casi todos los desfiles y abrió Valentino. Vittoria y Kiki tuvieron otro temporadón.

Blast from the past: Vogue USA December 1992, "Grunge & glory"

I was 3 in 1992, and I couldn't care less about fashion.As a 90's kid, I know who all the supermodels are because I saw them on the tv very often. But then again, it wasn't until 2007 that I started to love fashion, so I don't really know much about fashion during the 90's. That makes me quite sad, since it was such a great moment fashion wise. However, it's hard to find scans or videos of that time. This editorial has been scanned by kelles , at TFS forum. A couple of weeks ago, I was watching tv and I found a fashion documentarie on Sky arts. The documentarie is called "In Vogue: the editor's eye". You can watch it on youtube (I'll link the video in this post) if you want to. I really recommend it because, even if it was filmed in 2012, it's something that you need to watch if you really like fashion. Lots of iconic pictures are shown in this documentarie. MET Gala 2018: Best dressed

Yesterday, it was the first Monday of May. And that can only mean one thing...the MET Gala. It was also a Bank Holiday here but it's not as important, for whatever reason. And I thought I could tell you about my favourite outfits for the night, and while I was looking at the looks, I thought I would do a little countdown.  Ayer fue el primer lunes de Mayor, y eso solo puede significar una cosa...la gala del MET.
