Paris Fashion Week Spring Summer 2015: Review #6
-Chanel:
Everyone is freaking out because Gisele walked for Chanel. Guess what? I don't care. I think she's the most overrated model ever. And she's not a Chanel woman. Apart from her, we also had some celebrities, of course. I judge you, Karl.
My favourite moment of the show was Toni's appearance. She used to be Karl's muse, and I'm glad to see her back at one of his shows.
The collection was really decent. If we compare it with the last collections, we can see the difference. Poor Kendall had to were the ugliest outfit.
It's been a while since the last time I was this pleased with a Chanel collection. I'm glad I am.
Todo el mundo se vuelve loco porque Gisele desfile para Chanel. Pues, ¿sabéis qué? Yo paso. Creo que es la modelo más sobrevalorada de la historia. Y no la veo como una mujer Chanel. Y aparte de ella, tuvimos un grupito de celebrities, por supuesto. Te juzgo, Karl.
Mi momento favorito del desfile fue la aparición de Toni. Ella solía ser musa de Karl, y me alegra verla desfilar para uno de sus desfiles de nuevo.
La colección ha sido bastante decente. Si la comparamos con las anteriores, podemos ver la diferencia. A la pobre Kendall le tocó llevar el pase más feo.
Ha pasado mucho tiempo desde la última vez que me quedé tan contenta al ver un desfile de Chanel. Me alegra.
-Valentino:
I love this show. I feel like a I say the same everytime there is a new Valentino show, but I have a lot of reasons why I love it. Ready to read them?
In their last HC show, we saw them going for a tribal style. And they did it in a very literal way. This time, they kept using that style, and I love it when they do that. It's like they're creating a story, and every show is a new chapter. I love it when things make sense.
But, apart from that tribal style, they also introduced new styles that are quite trendy this season. We've seen a bohemian style in many shows (specially in Milan), and we can see it here too. They've also created some outfits where we can see the "gladiator" trend. Also, the shoes are gladiator sandals.
But my point is that they've done it without looking like they're copying someone else. The style might be different from what we're used to see in their shows, but the outfits still look like they belong to a Valentino show. And believe me, that's not an easy thing to do.
Another thing I really enjoy is the way they use see-through fabrics. They make it look really classy, and that's not an easy task either.
The final looks are a dream. The collection started with a tribal theme, and it ends with a sea theme. The details on the prints are really delicate and beautiful. I'll also show you the hair accessories they used, since they're gorgeous as well.

Me encanta este desfile. Y siento que digo lo mismo cada vez que hay un desfile nuevo de Valentino pero, tengo razones con las que argumentar. ¿Listos para leerlas?
En su última colección de Alta Costura vimos que usaban un estilo tribal. Y lo hicieron de una manera bastante literal. Esta vez han seguido optado por ese estilo, y adoro que hagan eso. Es como si estuvieran creando una historia, y cada desfile es un nuevo capítulo. Me gusta que las cosas tengan sentido.
Pero aparte de este estilo tribal, han introducido nuevos estilos que son tendencia esta temporada. Hemos visto el estilo bohemio en muchos desfiles (sobre todo en Milán), y podemos verlo aquí también. Además de eso, han creado pases con inspiración de gladiadoras. Las sandalias también son de ese estilo gladiador.
Pero lo que quiero decir, porque lo considero importante, es que han hecho todo esto sin que parezca que copiaban a otro diseñador. El estilo usado puede ser diferente de lo que acostumbramos a ver en sus desfiles, pero en los pases se ve claramente que pertenecen a Valentino. Y creedme, hacer eso no es fácil.
Otra cosa que me gusta es el uso que hacen de la tela con transparencias. Consiguen que el resultado tenga clase, y eso tampoco es fácil.
Los últimos pases son de ensueño. La colección comenzaba con un tema tribal, y termina con uno marino. Los detalles de los estampados son muy delicados y preciosos. Os enseño también los accesorios usados en el pelo, ya que son una preciosidad también.

The hats look similar to the ones we saw at Max Mara, and those were lovely as well.
I love everything about this. The nice patterns, the summery touch. It looks really nice.
