Cannes 2015: Daria Strokous wearing Luisa Beccaria



I like Daria as a model, but I don't usually like her on the red carpet. I don't even know why.
However, this time she looked STUNNING.

This gown is made for a princess, and that's how she looked like...a princess. The shape of the dress is beautiful and looks amazing on her. And the colour is perfect for her fair skin, it makes her eyes pop, and it makes a nice contrast with her dark hair. I like her better as a brunette, and I feel like she wouldn't have looked so good if she were still a blonde.

The only problem is that I can't find the runway version anywhere (style, vogue, ...), which makes me think that it may have been made specifically for the event. Anyhow, it's an stunning look.





Me gusta Daria como modelo, pero no me suele gustar en la alfombra roja. No se porque.
Sin embargo, esta vez estaba PRECIOSA.

 Este vestido esta hecho para princesas, y así es como iba ella...como una princesa. La forma del vestido es preciosa y a ella la favorece mucho. Y el color es perfecto para su piel pálida, hace que sus ojos resalten y hace un bonito contraste con su pelo oscuro. Me gusta más de morena, y creo que el vestido no la habría quedado igual si aún fuera rubia.

 El único problema es que no puedo encontrar la versión de pasarela en ninguna parte (style, vogue, ...), lo cual me hace pensar que ha debido ser hecho específicamente para el evento. Sea como sea, es un look perfecto.

I was 3 in 1992, and I couldn't care less about fashion.As a 90's kid, I know who all the supermodels are because I saw them on the tv very often. But then again, it wasn't until 2007 that I started to love fashion, so I don't really know much about fashion during the 90's. That makes me quite sad, since it was such a great moment fashion wise. However, it's hard to find scans or videos of that time. This editorial has been scanned by kelles , at TFS forum. A couple of weeks ago, I was watching tv and I found a fashion documentarie on Sky arts. The documentarie is called "In Vogue: the editor's eye". You can watch it on youtube (I'll link the video in this post) if you want to. I really recommend it because, even if it was filmed in 2012, it's something that you need to watch if you really like fashion. Lots of iconic pictures are shown in this documentarie. Dewey's 24 Hour Readathon April 2018: Wrap up!

The readathon is over! And it honestly was a lot of fun. I hadn't been reading too much lately, and it was great to be able to dedicate one day to just that.  Now let me tell you about the 546 pages I read. El maratón de lectura ha terminado. Y la verdad que lo disfruté mucho. Últimamente no había tenido tiempo para leer, y me encantó poder dedicar un día a hacer solo eso. Ahora dejadme que os cuente que me parecen las 546 páginas que leí.   -"We should all be feminists" & "Dear Ijeawele, A feminist manifesto in fifteen suggestions", by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. I gave 5 stars to both of these books. It was the first two I read, and I completely loved them.  I liked "We should all be feminists" a bit less, since it was more of general message. It made me think a lot, but I find "Dear Ijeawele..." to be more of my kind of message. As a feminist, I enjoyed both, but I found one more complete than the other. Highly rec...
