Hunger Magazine #14: Alicia Vikander by Rankin

My dear muse Alicia Vikander has been on quite a few magazine covers in the last couple of years. And while that made me happy as a fan, it also saddened me to see how clueless fashion professionals were when it came to working with her.

Alicia is no Angelina Jolie, and I'm not just saying that because of Tomb Raider. Her beauty is softer and special, but she's no bombshell. She doesn't need to be one, by the way.

But that means that you just can't style her for a cover shoot like you would another Hollywood star. It took Nicholas a while to understand that while dressing her for events (she's under a contract with Louis Vuitton), but he's getting there now.

All the credit goes here to Kim Howells, who styled the shoot, and to Rankin for knowing how to direct her to take the best pictures. She's never looked better on a magazine!!

Mi querida musa Alicia Vikander ha aparecido en alguna que otra portada en los últimos años. Y eso me hacía feliz como fan, pero a la vez me entristecía ver que los profesionales de moda no tenían ni idea de como trabajar con ella.

Alicia no Angelina Jolie, y no digo eso solo por Tomb Raider. Su belleza es más suave y especial, pero no es un pivón. Y no es que la haga falta serlo, la verdad.

Pero eso significa que no se la puede poner los mismos estilismos que a cualquier otra estrella de Hollywood. A Nicholas le costó bastante entender eso cuando le tocaba vestirla para eventos (tiene un contrato con Louis Vuitton), pero lo va pillando.

Y en este caso hay que darle todo el crédito a Kim Howells, que fue la estilista de esta sesión, y a Rankin por saber dirigirla para conseguir las mejores fotos. Su mejor aparición en una revista.
