Meet Fran Summers: New face from the UK

Traditionally, I like to do a special post for my birthday. Not one that is about me, but one about something I really like. This year, it is going to be another "Meet this new face". And it is all about one of my favourites of the moment: Fran Summers.

Ya es tradicción que haga una entrada especial por mi cumpleaños. No es sobre mi, sino sobre algo que me encanta. Este año va a ser una de mis entradas en las que os presento a new faces. Y esta vez hablo de una de mis modelos favoritas del momento: Fran Summers.

  -Who is she?

Fran is from Yorkshire, in England. And she started modelling not that long ago. This runway season was her third, and her second one doing only top shows.
Last September she had two exclusives: in London (J.W. Anderson) and Milan (Prada); and walked a bunch of top shows in Paris. After that she got 4 campaigns for the SS 18 season and they were all pretty big.

Fran viene de Yorkshire, en Inglaterra. Y empezó a modelar no hace mucho. Esta temporada de pasarelas ha sido su tercera, y su segunda haciendo solo desfiles top.
El pasado septiembre tuvo dos exclusivas; en Londres (J.W. Anderson) y en Milán (Prada); y luego desfiló para un montón de marcas top en París. Después de ese gran momento en pasarelas, consiguió cuatro campañas para la temporada de PV 18 y todas son bastante grandes.

  -Career highlights so far:

Apart from scoring those amazing campaigns, she has been featured in many magazines: UK Vogue, The Love Magazine or i-D, to name a few. And she has also covered Dazed Magazine, Interview and Italian Vogue. Not bad for a new face.

Aparte de conseguir todas esas campañas importantes, ha aparecido en varias revistas: UK Vogue, The Love Magazine o i-D, por nombrar unas pocas. Y ha sido portada de Dazed Magazine, Interview y la versión italiana de Vogue. Nada mal para una new face.

  -What makes her so special?

There are so many new faces every season, and I rarely notice them because they don't bring anything exciting to the game. However, I couldn't help but notice Fran immediately because she has something that captivates you. She has a great presence on the runway and she is a breath of fresh air in print. 
But also, she seems to have an amazing personality. I've gotten that impression by following her on instagram and by checking different interviews she is given. 


Hay muchas new faces cada temporada y no suelo fijarme mucho en ellas porque no me aportan nada nuevo. Sin embargo, no pude evitar fijarme en Fran porque tiene algo que cautiva. Tiene una gran presencia en pasarela y es un golpe de aire fresco en fotografía. 
Pero además de eso, parece tener una personalidad increíble. Es la impresión que he tenido al seguirla en redes sociales y al ver/leer entrevistas suyas.

I was 3 in 1992, and I couldn't care less about fashion.As a 90's kid, I know who all the supermodels are because I saw them on the tv very often. But then again, it wasn't until 2007 that I started to love fashion, so I don't really know much about fashion during the 90's. That makes me quite sad, since it was such a great moment fashion wise. A couple of weeks ago, I was watching tv and I found a fashion documentarie on Sky arts. The documentarie is called "In Vogue: the editor's eye". You can watch it on youtube (I'll link the video in this post) if you want to. I really recommend it because, even if it was filmed in 2012, it's something that you need to watch if you really like fashion. Lots of iconic pictures are shown in this documentarie. MET Gala 2018: Best dressed

Yesterday, it was the first Monday of May. And that can only mean one thing...the MET Gala. It was also a Bank Holiday here but it's not as important, for whatever reason. And I thought I could tell you about my favourite outfits for the night, and while I was looking at the looks, I thought I would do a little countdown.  Ayer fue el primer lunes de Mayor, y eso solo puede significar una cosa...la gala del MET.
