#tbt: Rock'n Rose by Valentino (Mona Johanneson by Craig McDean)

Imagen
A couple of weeks ago, I saw that Elle Sweden produced a gorgeous cover with some of their most iconic models, and Mona was one of them. Everytime I see her, I think about this ad for Valentino. This perfume is my all time favourite, and the reason why I tried it in the first place was this tv commercial. It came out when I was starting to be into fashion. Good times! I already mentioned this on a post I did years ago about my perfumes and their campaigns, which still is the most viewed post I've ever published. Should I do an updated version of it?  http://putonachicface.blogspot.co.uk/2012/12/my-perfumes-and-their-campaigns.html  Can we talk about how much better my English is nowadays? xD It's Valentino, it has roses and the word rock on it. It's as if they created it for me ;) Ph: Craig McDean Hace unas semanas vi que Elle Suecia había producido una preciosa portada con algunas de sus modelos más icónicas y Mona era una de ellas. Siempre que l...

Marc Jacobs Resort '17: Kiki Willems, Veronica Vilim & Lily Sumner by Theo Wenner

You know I rarely feature Resort/Pre-Fall campaigns on the blog, because I just don't see how they fit on it. So when I do, you can guess that I really like that ad.  That's the case with this Marc Jacobs campaign. I haven't been a fan of their ads for a while, because they use too many models and it's confusing and strange. However, for this Resort one they kept it simple, and that was a great move. Only three models and a different photographer. It makes they whole thing feel more fresh and exciting. Kiki is an absolute star in print, don't you think?

Swarovski Holiday 2016 (with Karlie Kloss) #giftguide

Imagen
My gif (Video source: Swarovski's yt channel) As I mentioned in a previous post, December is different for me blog wise. I like to obviously talk about fashion, but also to add a festive touch to it. I'm not really into these holidays but I know the majority of people are.  That's why I want to show something that can be seen as part of a gift guide, without doing a gift guide. I want to give you a general idea and you can work with it as you please. And that idea is jewelry. I know, so very original ;) But it really makes a great gift. Not for me, because I only wear one piece of jewelry, but for most people. Out of all the brands that have created a more festive collection for this time of the year, I'll recommend you to take a look at Swarovski's. I'm slightly obsessed with the Crystaldust Bangles (in blue or red, just in case someone who's reading wants to buy one for me **wink wink**). And Karlie is part of it!! It doesn't get much ...

Fashion and feminism

Today's post is going to be deeper than usual. Because sometimes I feel like talking about these topics, rather than just showing you pictures and videos with pretty things on them. When I picked the January issue of UK Vogue, something caught my eye immediately. It's the headline than we can see on the cover, it reads "The woman who took on football and won". I had no clue what that was about, so it was one of the first articles I checked. It's actually about Eva Carneiro, who used to work as a doctor for Chelsea FC. If you don't know her and her story, google it because it's an interesting one.

Victoria's Secret Fashion Show '16: My thoughts

Imagen
The show finally aired and now I want to share with you my thoughts about it. My main concern, as always, is that they barely show the models' walk and this is a fashion show. I want to see the models walking on the runway. That's why Elsa's opening looked so average. The first segment reminded me how much I missed the remixes they used to do for the show. I'm tired of performers getting in the way all the time.  Highlights of the show are Grace and Kate. And Josephine got a whole segment for her. Someone's a star!! I loved it when she said: "Imagine going to bed being a regular model"...quote of the year. Jasmine should have closed the show with the FB. Her walk while wearing it was really good. And there are many videos on youtube that you can watch, but they'll all be deleted. So I'll show you this one done by Vogue, which features the moment from the gif I started the post with ;) El desfile se ha emitido al fin y...

Festive posts!!

Taylor Hill for VS I don't know about you, but I have my personal countdown to Christmas. It's on 12 days to go right now, since that's when my "holidays" begin. And I want to write most of the posts that I will publish during the month so my holidays are actually holidays. In the last couple of years I've done gift ideas, style ideas for New Year's Eve, Top 10 of the year, ...but if you have any other ideas of things that you would like to see on the blog, let me know =) No se vosotros, pero yo tengo mi cuenta atrás personal para las Navidades.

Harper’s Bazaar México December '16: Jac Jagaciak by Matallana

I missed seeing many models at the VSFS and Jac was one of them. She was an angel last year, but she hasn't worked with the brand for a while. Also, she's being quite sick recently and felt like she didn't have the right body for the show. Obviously, health comes first. But I still missed her a little.  When I saw this cover, it reminded me to her look from last year's VSFS. Then I saw the editorial and was slightly confused. It's like two different stories, but both are gorgeous. I clearly needed to share it with you, because of how stunning she looks and how beautiful the editorial is.
