Put on a Chic face

During GNTM I already talked about my favourite GNTM contestants of the last cycle a couple of months ago. And guess what? One won and the other one was robbed during the semis.  However, today I want to talk to you about the runner-up, who is currently the only model of the cycle I can see succeeding: Serlina Hohmann. Get ready to fall in love with her. After the show, she was stuck with the show's agency (Heidi Klum's dad's agency), but managed to get out of that contract quite easily. She then moved to Israel to build her portfolio, and now is signed with Modelwerk in Germany. Her look is more on the commercial side but that's part of the game too, isn't it? Should we call the Victoria's Secret people already? I think so. Kirin is the kind of model you see everywhere, but you don't really see her. She ends up being a runway filler and once casting directors find a new filler, she is likely to fade and disappear. It kind of is happening already. But I do like her look. And I think it is a shame she is not getting more print work to show whether she is good enough or not.  And while checking her work, I managed to find this lovely editorial she did for The Edit. It features some gorgeous Alaïa dresses from his SS 17 collection, and I adore the way she is modelling them. Let's hope she doesn't fade completely before we get to see her full potential. On the first day of NYFW, Tifanny & Co. organized an event to promote their new perfume, which is described as a "perfect bridal scent". Intriguing. Vittoria happens to be one of the faces of this new fragance (shot by Steven Meisel), so she had to attend this event. And, well, she looked more stunning than she ever has. And that is saying quite a lot. From the dress (which is very flattering on her), to the hair and make-up (very minimal but with a nice pop of colour that compliments her skin colour), everything works. It also is a style that she wouldn't pick herself, since her style is more on the casual side. So credit goes to whoever styled her.
