Fall/Winter 15.16 campaigns: Versace, Versus & Givenchy

Campaign time...woohoo!!!

I absolutely adore this time of the year. And this season is even better, because we didn't get many clues about the campaigns, so most of them were kind of unexpected. And that's much more fun.

Today I want to talk about Versace and Versus, since both lines belong to the same brand. And I also want to talk about Givenchy, since Donatella is part of that ad. Makes sense, right?

Adoro este momento. Y sobre todo esta temporada, porque no hemos tenido muchas pistas sobre como iban a ser las campañas, así que la mayoría fueron inesperadas. Y así es más divertido.

Hoy quiero hablar de Versace y Versus, ya que ambas líneas pertenecen a la misma marca. Y también quiero hablar de Givenchy, ya que Donatella es parte de la campaña. Tiene sentido, ¿verdad?

Versace Fall/Winter 15.16: Karlie Kloss, Caroline Trentini & Lexi Boling by Mert&Marcus

During the Cannes festival, I gave you a little hint about Versace's campaign, and now you can see it with your own eyes: Karlie is a Versace girl...and so is Lexi, apparently.

For Caroline, this is her second Versace campaign (the first one was for the FW 04.05 season). I think both Caroline and Karlie fit the brand, but Lexi? C'mon, she can't do sexy, glamorous or even pretty. I don't get how she was picked over other models who would have looked amazing. Natasha Poly, Kate G., ...when are they going to get a Versace campaing? It's ridiculous.

Btw, the campaign itself is kind of meh. But way better than last season's.

Durante el festival de Cannes os dí una pista sobre la campaña de Versace, y ahora lo podéis ver con vuestros propios ojos: Karlie es una chica Versace...y al parecer, Lexi también lo es.

Para Caroline, esta es su segunda campaña de Versace (la primera fue para la temporada de OI 04.05). Creo que tanto Caroline como Karlie pegan con la marca, pero ¿Lexi? Venga hombre, no sabe ser glamourosa, sexy o guapa. No entiendo como la han podido elegir a ella sobre otras modelos que habrían lucido mucho más. Natasha Poly, Kate G., ...¿cuando van a conseguir una campaña para Versace? Es ridículo.

Por cierto, la campaña en si no es nada del otro mundo. Pero es mucho mejor que la del año pasado.

Versus Fall/Winter 15.16: Taylor Hill, Sophia Ahrens, Joey Bayes & James Phillips by Collier Schorr.

I said a couple of times that I really like what Vaccarello has been doing for Versus, so far. I'm not sure about how much he was involved in this ad, but it's pretty decent too.

The casting, however, could have been better. I don't care about her being a VS angel, but Taylor can't do sexy (yet). And both Versace and Versus are about strong women who are confident enough to wear these clothes. Sophia is a better choice, but not a perfect one. I feel like she has the same face on every ad, ed, lookbook, ...she always looks angry. Not impressed by her modeling skills so far.

But it's a decent campaign. Better than Versace, that's for sure.

Ya he dicho un par de veces que me gusta el trabajo de Vaccarello para Versus. O al menos de momento. Cierto es que no se hasta que punto ha estado involucrado en esta campaña, pero es bastante decente.

El casting, sin embargo, podría haber sido mejor. Me da igual que sea un ángel de VS, porque Taylor no puede hacer cosas sexies (aún). Y tanto Versace como Versus son marcas para mujeres fuertes y con suficiente personalidad como para vestir estas marcas. Sophia pega más, pero está lejos de ser la modelo perfecta para la campaña. Y siento que siempre tiene la misma cara. Siempre parece que está enfadada. No me han impresionado su destreza como modelo, de momento.

Pero es una campaña decente. Mucho mejor que Versace, eso seguro.

Wow, that's a long list of names xD 

As opposite to what happened last season, I like the models' part better. However, it's interesting to see Donatella Versace wearing Givenchy on a Givenchy campaign. 

Apart from that, I don't really care about this campaign. The styling is pretty disappointing.

Al contrario de lo que pasó la temporada pasada, me gusta la parte de las modelos más. Sin embargo, es interesante ver a Donatella Versace vistiendo Givenchy en una campaña de Givenchy. 
Aparte de eso, no me llama la atención la campaña. El estilismo es muy decepcionante.
