Haute Couture SS 14: Livestreams + Day 3 (Chanel, Ulyana Sergeenko, Stéphane Rolland, Alexandre Vauthier & Giorgio Armani Privé)

What can I say? It gets worse and worse. Seriously, this is "better" than the Dallas show but, it's even worse than the RTW collection, which was already hideous. I literally like 2 outfits out of 63....63!!! I mean Marine's & Manuela's outfits (even though Manuela's looks too similar to one from a DVN show, which is probably the reason why I like it).
The sneakers are ok. To be honest, some of them match the dresses quite nicely, but...sneakers on a HC show? Unheard of it.
However, the knee guards and the elbow guards are just horrible. Why? Why using something like that on a Chanel show? I can't even imagine them being used on a Y-3 or Lacoste show.
But I guess it makes sense...you make a horrible collection and you let Cara open and close the show. Cara as the bride...what a nightmare!
The make-up is quite nice. They overuse the glitter lately, but I won't complain.
¿Qué puedo decir? Va a peor. En serio, esto es "mejor" que el desfile de Dallas pero a la vez es peor que la colección de PAP, la cual ya era horrible. Me gustan, literalmente, 2 pases de 63...¡¡¡63!!! Me refiero al de Marine y al de Manuela (aunque este último es demasiado parecido a uno de un desfile de DVN, lo cual debe de ser la razón por la que me gusta).
Las playeras están bien. Sinceramente, muchas incluso pegan con los vestidos pero...¿playeras en un desfile de Alta Costura? Jamás vi algo similar.
Sin embargo, las coderas y las rodilleras son horribles. ¿Por qué? ¿Por qué usar algo así en un desfile de Chanel? De hecho, no puedo imaginar ver algo así ni en un desfile de Y-3 o Lacoste.
Pero supongo que tiene lógica...haces una colección horrible y dejas que Cara abra y cierre el desfile. Cara como la novia...¡qué pesadilla!
El maquillaje está bien. Se pasan usando el glitter últimamente, pero no me quejo.

The collection itself was ok.
Solo quiero hablar del desfile porque Eugenia Volodina ha desfilado. Verla en la pasarela es un placer.

I've enjoyed Stéphane's collections lately. And this one is no exception.
If you know me, you'll guess why. I love how clean it looks, and the shapes are just perfect.
I'm really in love with the slight pop of colour we can see.
Me encantan las colecciones de Stéphane últimamente. Y esta no ha sido excepción.
Si me conocéis, sabréis porque. Me encanta lo limpio que se ve todo, y las formas son perfectas.
Estoy loca por los toques de color que se ven.
Alexandre Vauthier:
As usual, this was a sexy collection. I quite like some pieces, but other were not very good.
It has a edgy side too, which I like.
Como siempre, ha sido una colección sexy. Me gustan algunas piezas, pero otras no son nada especial.
Tiene un toque más moderno también, lo cual me gusta.
Giorgio Armani Privé:
Nothing new but, I don't mean it as a bad thing.
Armani's target isn't the same as Vauthier's, for example, and he just tries to create what his clients want to buy.
It's all very elegant. 20's inspired, right?
Nada nuevo, pero no quiero decir que eso sea malo.
El target de Armani no es el mismo que el de Vauthier, por poner un ejemplo, así que el solo trata de crear lo que sus clientes compran.
Es todo muy elegante. Inspirado en los años 20, ¿no?
