"Daisy Love" by Marc Jacobs (Feat. Kaia Gerber)

Imagen
I have mentioned the perfume "Daisy" by Marc Jacobs in many posts. I have it and love it, and their campaigns have always been really good in my opinion. Kaia Gerber, who is already the face of "Daisy", is joined by Faith Lynch and Aube Jolicoeur for the campaign created for this new version, "Daisy Love". Checking the description and the notes is a bit confusing, but this seems to be quite similar to the original scent. Maybe even better, who knows? I'll have to check it out.

UK Vogue May 2018, by Craig McDean

Imagen
When Edward was announced as EIC of UK Vogue, everyone screamed "diversity! Finally!". They were excited to know that the British edition of Vogue (known for its lack of diversity) will stop being so out of touch on such an important topic. A couple of months later, on Edward's 6th issue, we got the diverse cover many were waiting for. As always, some people loved it and some despised it. The ones who didn't like it said things along the lines of how forced the cover feels, how forced the diversity feels. Despite wanting to see all types of men and women being represented (minus the ones wearing symbols that promote the oppression of men or women), I do feel it is slightly forced.  I also believe that diversity is more than just looks or race, but that's another story for another day. For 2 models featured in this cover, this certifies their status as the top new faces. Both Adut and Fran have now covered Uk Vogue and Italian Vogue. 2 out of the Big ...

Hunger Magazine #14: Alicia Vikander by Rankin

Imagen
My dear muse Alicia Vikander has been on quite a few magazine covers in the last couple of years. And while that made me happy as a fan, it also saddened me to see how clueless fashion professionals were when it came to working with her. Alicia is no Angelina Jolie, and I'm not just saying that because of Tomb Raider. Her beauty is softer and special, but she's no bombshell. She doesn't need to be one, by the way. But that means that you just can't style her for a cover shoot like you would another Hollywood star. It took Nicholas a while to understand that while dressing her for events (she's under a contract with Louis Vuitton), but he's getting there now. All the credit goes here to Kim Howells, who styled the shoot, and to Rankin for knowing how to direct her to take the best pictures. She's never looked better on a magazine!! Mi querida musa Alicia Vikander ha aparecido en alguna que otra portada en los ...

Meet Meghan Roche: New Face from the USA

Imagen
Meghan Roche (Pennsylvania, USA)                -Who is she? Meghan is an American model that I first noticed in July of last year, when she starred in the Givenchy campaign lensed by Meisel.  I actually did a post about that campaign and mentioned I wasn't sure if I liked her, or if I just liked that picture Meisel took. Well, now I know for sure it is her I like. -Career highlights so far: Of course, her Givenchy campaign is one. And the exclusive she did for them the following season is a highlight as well. She mostly has had runway highlights so...

Elsa Hosk for Vogue Spain Beauty (March '18)

Imagen
The word underrated (and its antonym) can have different meanings for different people. That's why, when I say that I consider Elsa to be an underrated model, many tell me that I'm wrong.  Yes, she is more famous than most and has many followers and is an Angel, ...but, she hasn't been given the same opportunities as other.  If you see which shows the VS Angels walk for during fashion week, you'll see that Elsa is usually on smaller shows, while Taylor or Romee walk for Versace and Chanel. And the same issue is present on her print work. Elsa is not a bad print model, at all. She actually has incredible editorials in her portfolio. But many just see her as a sexy VS angel, and assume she lacks versatility. So basically, she's underrated because the fashion professionals don't value her enough. Vogue Spain has seen that potential, though. She's been featured in a couple of beauty stories for the magazine, and this last one they created for th...

Dior Addict Lacquer Plump & Lancôme "L'Absolu Lacquer"

Imagen
This season's must have, apparently, is a lip lacquer. Both Dior and Lancôme have created huge campaigns to advertise their version of it, and today I want to talk about those campaigns and what makes the product special. Dior Addict Lacquer Plump ( £ 28.50) 16 Shades Plumping lacquered ink, long-wear colour Ph: Cass Bird Bella is back for another campaign, and she has also been doing a lot of press promoting this product. You may have seen some pictures of her at different events. The reason why I'm in love with Dior beauty lately is Peter Philips. He really has changed the game in this brand, and his idea of combining make-up and skincare is absolutely brilliant. Dior has the best ma...

Campaign season queens S/S 18, Part 2: Vittoria Ceretti (Italy)

Imagen
For the second time in three seasons, we're crowning Vittoria as the campaign queen. The fashion world gets more and more fickle, which makes this achievemente even more impressive.  Vittoria scored a total of 9 blue chip campaigns. Though, if we counted all her Chanel beauty ads individually...the number will increase quite a bit. Great season for her. And since I adore her, you won't see me complaining if she's the queen again next season.
