Haute Couture Spring Summer 2013: review.
I wanted to do a quick review about HC's show, which took place in Paris a few days ago.
HC is always exciting. We have to understand that it's not the same as PAP/RTW. HC is more artistic, more spectacular, dreamier, ...is Couture, the word talks by itself.
I'm just going to talk about 6 shows, because those are the ones where I found something to tell. Some other shows have great outfits as well, some don't, but I won't be talking about them.
Of course, you can check those shows in several websites and see if you like them.
Quería hacer una pequeña reseña sobre los desfile de Alta Costura que han tenido lugar en París los últimos días.
La Alta Costura es siempre emocionante. Tenemos que entender que no es lo mismo que PAP/RTW. Es más artístico, más espectacular, más de ensueño, ...es Costura, la palabra habla por sí sola.
Voy a hablar de solo 6 desfiles, porque son los que considero que me han mostrado algo de lo que quiero hablar. Otros tenían grandes trajes también, otros no, pero no hablaré de ellos.
Por supuesto, podéis buscar los shows en diveras webs y ver si os gustan.
-Alexander Vauthier:
I've been quite a Vauthier fan lately. This collection is really good, and so it was the last one. I love how the black is used to make elegant clothes, but that are something more than just elegant and simple. This collection is very sexy, but it keeps it classy. I love it.
Últimamente soy fan de Vauthier. Esta colección es muy buena, al igual que lo fue la última. Me gusta como usa el negro para hacer prendas elegantes, que que son algo más que elegantes y simples. Esta colección es muy sexy, pero con clase. Me encanta.
-Chanel:
This collection was better than the last ones Karl did for HC but still not enough, because this is Chanel, and it has to be brilliant, not just ok.
But I wanted to talk about what Karl did.
He didn't pick one model to be "his bride", but two models who walked with a kid. This is the way he support gay marriage, which is a polemic topic right now in France. Whether you think like him or not, it's really brave to do something like that.
Esta colección es mejor que las últimas que Karl ha hecho para AC, pero no es suficiente porque esto es Chanel, y tiene que ser brillante, no bueno a secas.
Pero quería hablar de lo que Karl hizo.
No eligió una modelo como "su novia", sino dos modelos que desfilaron con un niño. Esta es su manera de apoyar el matrimonio gay, que ahora es un tema polémico en Francia. Estéis de acuerdo con él o no, es valiente hacer algo así.
-Giambattista Valli:
This is his 3rd HC collection and it's the one that I like the least, but still, these outfits that are showing you are to die for.
The purple one is too perfect.
Es su tercera colección de costura y es la que menos me ha gustado pero, aún así, estos pases que os enseño son increíbles.
El morado es demasiado perfecto.
-Jean Paul Gaultier:
We can clearly see a change from previous collections, which is good.
Not my favourite collection, but it catched my interest.
Podemos ver un claro cambio respecto a colecciones previas, lo cual es bueno.
No es mi colección favorita, pero ha conseguido llamar mi atención.
-Stéphane Rolland:
I looked at this collection just because I like to look them all and I fall in love.
I love how clean it looks, the shapes, the little colour details. Really, good job.
Fuí a mirar esta colección solo porque me gusta mirarlas todas y, me enamoré.
Me gusta lo limpia que se ve, las formas, los detalles de color. Realmente, un gran trabajo.
-Valentino:
It is true that Valentino collection look always the same, but this one is better than the previous ones.
They execute the same idea over and over again, but they made it look better this time.
Es verdad que las colecciones de Valentino siempre son iguales, pero esta es mejor que las anteriores.
Ejecutan la misma idea una y otra vez, pero esta vez luce mejor.
